About the event
Join us on December 11, 2024, for the WSBA approved CLE "Family Law Involving Domestic Violence for International Marriages" at Seattle University or online (via Zoom). This seminar addresses the unique challenges at the intersection of family law, domestic violence, and international marriages, with a focus on overcoming linguistic and cultural barriers.
Through sessions led by experienced legal practitioners, academics, therapists, and interpreters, participants will explore property division, child custody, jurisdictional issues, and ethical considerations. A panel discussion will provide in-depth analysis of real-world case studies, examining cross-border disputes, immigration concerns, and mental health impacts in family law.
